HOW WE MAKE MONEY
 Selling policies- Advance on Final Expense and Modified policies (Checking accounts).
 Paythru- % of your commissions paid over 12 months and any renewals after 1 year. This grows every month! It can help pay lead balances and chargebacks or pay quarterly income tax.
 Starting a team will generate overwrite commissions.
 Getting promoted with contract increases. (Your contract is STRICTLY between you and your manager and discussion with other agents is reason for IMMEDIATE termination.) Here is an example using a 60% contract. PLEASE NOTE: Read your contract as the contract percentage is different from Final Expense to Modified policies (20% less), advance percentage is different from Checking vs. Savings account (50% advance), credit card and direct bill business pay as-earned (due to
poor persistency) and policies written on age 81-85 pays 40% less (due to mortality). Average Premium = $40 x 10 Applications Weekly = $400 in checks = $4,800 DNP (400×12=4,800) 75% is advanced ($1800) in 24 hours and 25% divided by 12 ($600/12=50) is added to your PayThru $50! $19,200 monthly production= $1,600 premiums collected over the month = $400 in checks every week. $19,200 DNP x 50% (average Final Expense/Modified mix) = $9,600 total monthly commissions $9,600 x 75% advance = $7,200 Advance, 25% PayThru = $2,400 divided by 12 = $200/mo. (compounds) $7,200+ $200= $7,400 per month income + PayThru Compounds Monthly Focus on #APPCOUNT and you will reach your monetary goals. Focus on helping more people every day. Couples count as 2 Applications. Add adult children, parents, siblings, cousins, friends and neighbors.

NOTE: Your PayThru will grow every month with consistent performance. Contract promotions are based on performance which will have an impact on your income. $12.5k a month will qualify you for incentive trips.

HOW WE KEEP MONEY
 Set aside 50% of your deposits for savings. Start at 10% and grow 10% each month.
 Beware of lending money to family and friends!
 Control operating costs. Pack a lunch to save on eating out, get a Sheetz card to save on gas, get
an EZ Pass for turnpike tolls, maintain your car!
 Retain your business. Utilize your emailed Missing payments Reports and check Slice and your portal to see who has cancelled/lapsed/replaced their policy. Call and ask.
 Reinstate business by calling the client immediately. You can also send letters if you can’t reach them by phone. If all else fails, visit them face to face.
 Follow up on emailed Memos and Pending. Do not get a chargeback because you failed to follow up on Memos and Pending!
 Become familiar with your Advance Statements which you can access on the Portal under documents. Since you are 1099 you can write off lead costs and chargebacks (losses).

MAKE A SCHEDULE AND STICK TO IT
 Family and friends can be distractions. Even though you work for yourself, make a set schedule and stick to it.
 Plan ahead for your day/week/month. You should know where you are working 30 days from now.

 Manage your time inside and outside the house. You should take approximately an hour in the house to write a policy. If you are spending too little time, then you are not building enough value or relationship with client. If you are spending too much time (2 hours) then you need to control the flow better to stay on a schedule.

ORGANIZE YOUR BUSINESS
 Order your supplies monthly online. Make sure you have enough supplies for home office, your car and your bag. Supplies are free thru Senior Life Insurance in the portal, and it takes 7-10 days to deliver.
 Be organized! Get an IPad! Get a Smartphone, laptop computer, 3-in-1 Printer and GPS. These devices are vital to your success.

STRUCTURE YOUR BUSINESS
 Keep all your receipts.
 Keep a mileage log. Mile IQ or other mileage tracking apps on your Smartphone will help.
 Open a separate checking account for your business for your deposits and expenses. Once your business is doing over $100k you will want to hire an accountant and look into becoming an LLC or Corporation.

MANAGE YOUR INVENTORY
 Have a filing system to organize your lead inventory by area. Visit older inventory monthly.
 Make phone calls to set appointments daily. You can door knock in between appointments.
 Get 3 or more REFERRALS from every client to control inventory costs!
 Mailer leads- $37 each/ TV leads $44 each/FaceBook & Online Quotes vary.
 Leads the way-Take Live Transfers
 Use Google maps, Route4me or Road Warrior route planner to plot your day’s travel.
